Folks are freaking out - but Europeans have been paying more for a long time.
And using less as a result. 

And a lot of what they pay at the pump subsidizes a public transit system that everyone uses. That does not scale well in places like Montana and Utah, though. And most plumbers don't take the bus to the job. So ... do you think we are NOT looking at a severe depression? OR WORSE??
